The Jigsaw Jam & Keith O'Brien penned an original Christmas song which focuses on the hundreds of thousands of Irish abroad this Christmas who will not be able to make it home this holiday, a very poignant and current affair. It may bring a tear to your eye.
The music video 'I'm Coming Home' was shot on Grafton St and features video clips of people sending messages home from places such as Australia, Thailand and Canada to loved ones who they will not be able to share Christmas with.
There are also clips from people in Ireland sending a message to their loved ones/ family abroad.
It's a heart-warming song and video. Poignant lyrics such as 'We travel seas, to be at home with family' and 'Hot Whiskeys, with faces rarely seen', have really hit home with people already!
Another song for the Irish diaspora this year is co-written by Meghan Ali and Deborah Maguire and also features Clare Sands, Aisling Urwin,Pearse Burke and Kate Healy. Named "Coming Home", it is also about that longing to be home for Christmas.
A member also sent us this video from last year's Christmas archive, where the airport sees a flashmob with the Belfast Choir singing a Welcome song to a returning Irish Family.
