No longer in the role of Father Jack, the great actor Frank Kelly captures the Irish art of storytelling and the relationship between a regular patron and his barman in this short film Dog Pound.
This short written by Irish writer Madeleine D'arcy was filmed in Kehoe's Pub, South Anne's Street. Having recently won a Hennessy Literary Award, it has also been nominated in the Galway Film Fleadh.
Dog Pound captures the feeling of a small Irish pub when a regular pops in for a pint and proceeds to tell the barman a story about a kind old man, a conman and a dog.
The short was directed by Tara Quirke and produced by Audrey Brennan.
