Records from the Irish Catholic register dating from the time of Cromwell to World War I are available free of charge on ancestry.ie for the month of March only. These records include baptismal, death and marriage records in English and Latin.
The records were indexed from digital images of more than 3,500 Catholic Parish Registers in more than 1,000 parishes across Ireland from 1655-1915 which includes 373,000 images and files created by the National Library of Ireland. A lot of information has been transribed so that names can be easily found.
Do your searching now for free because they will no longer be free from April onwards with a subcsription fee from $18 a month.
