#MayoDay 2016 takes place on Saturday April 30th. If you hail from Mayo, you might like to get involved.
The inaugural Mayo Day 2015 was a resounding success, Individuals, Schools, Business and Communities got behind the unique initiative which saw Mayo people globally celebrate all that is great about our progressive County. With help from the Diaspora, National Landmarks such as the Niagara Falls turned red and green for the day! This year the aim is to make the occasion bigger and better.
Should you choose to participate, be as creative as you can, all efforts to showcase our Mayo community abroad will be promoted. No effort is considered too small or too big so whether you choose to organise an event/activity, provide Mayo themed offers and products, light up your local landmarks in the green and red of Mayo or just wear the Mayo colours, it would be fantastic to have as many people as possible participating on the day.
On social media Mayo County Council will be actively promoting #MayoDay and they are asking people to use this when sharing their events, initiatives or promotional videos/images on Twitter and Facebook. We would also be happy to share any images taken on the day. Let’s get the event trending! Alternatively, you can email information to firstname.lastname@example.org
