I can't believe after not sleeping for so long that I actually got up with my alarm at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning. I was hazy, but still wide awake. I got myself together, showered, etc, did my makeup, and waited for my hairdresser, who was 20 minutes late.
I refused to stress.
I kicked Eric out when she finally did get there, and we got to work on my curls. It came out great, though my sis & her husband got to my house before she was done, and they started stressing over the time.
Meanwhile, the florist was calling me to ask about where to set up the chuppah (wedding canopy), since it was 50s and chilly and grey, but the venue wanted the ceremony outside. Can't not have drama, I guess. I got it moved indoors.
Everyone but my was stressed. Mom was having issues at the venue, sis was stressed over time... and I was fine. We headed there, with me singing to the radio.
I got there, gave my bridesmaids their earring gifts (they loved them), got our bouquets, got dressed, and got the photographer to start taking photos.
I was so calm!
The photographer staged our first meeting, since we were seeing each other pre-ceremony, and that's when we both nearly lost it, just over the emotion of seeing each other... but then we just kept laughing and giggling.
Eric's "I do" came out loud and clear, and I croaked out mine... but after that, we both spoke clearly and loudly. It was perfect.
Then cocktail hour (drama there, but that's for another day), and then our announcement into the reception!
And our first dance...
More detail, and better stories another time...
