| Like a Hurricane
Whether or not it’s a cliché that great art often comes out of suffering,
Cathie Ryan firmly believes that her latest album would sound very different
if it hadn’t been for a catastrophic event in her recent life. “I was in
a very different place with this record, and the songs are born of that,”
she tells me in her generous bell-like voice over the phone from the US.
