| Tribute to One of the Greats
Michael Gorman was a key figure in the great musical traditions of south
Sligo. While some of his relatives and neighbours came to dominate the fiddle
playing scene in 1920s and ’30s New York, Michael made the transition from
rural labourer in the West of Ireland to seasonal harvester in the North
of England.
