FASHION guru Tommy Hilfiger will have the red carpet rolled out for him on Dublin’s Grafton Street later this year, as he’s due to officially open his new flagship store on the famous high-end shopping strip. Hilfiger is also due to visit his shop in Galway during his two-day visit. You’d want to have his wealth to shop in his Irish boutiques – a very plain Tommy polo that we saw at the Hilfiger store in Sligo in June cost the equivalent of nearly $100, not to mention the huge mark-up on the jeans, sweaters, etc. No wonder Irish shoppers are coming out here in droves with empty suitcases . . .
IS there an Irish wedding in British supermodel Kate Moss’ future? Could be. She’s supposedly confiding to friends that she wants to marry her latest beau, Jamie Hince, at a farm in Ireland in December. Her friend and hairdresser owns said farm, and its remoteness is what supposedly appeals to the often troubled tabloid staple. “She likes it because the farm is in the middle of nowhere. It’s off the beaten track, so there’s no chance of anyone uninvited turning up,” a friend says.
