Francis
Murphy is an attorney practicing law in Manchester, New Hampshire,
about 50 miles north of Boston, and an occasional freelance writer.
Fran received a Masters Degree from University College Dublin in
Anglo-Irish Studies in 1976.
He
lived in Dublin for two years, working as a wine waiter in Dobbins
Bistro for one year. He enjoys returning to Ireland when the demands
of family and his law practice allow.
A native
of Newport, Rhode Island, his family's American roots are in Boston.
Fran received a Law Degree from Fordham University school of Law
after residing in Manhattan for three years.
While
working at Dobbins in Dublin in 1975-6 he made friends with some
Dubliners who 15 years later introduced him to Imelda. A transatlantic
relationship (and huge phone bills) ensued. The couple married in
Washington D.C., in 1997. They live in Nashua, New Hampshire.
Fran
loves New Hampshire. Driving south to Boston and back home to Rhode
Island is easy as are the trips north to the mountains and skiing.
