Kate McDonough joined Ambac in 1991 as the first Vice President and General Counsel Public Finance before becoming Managing Director in Ambac Assurance Corporation's Public Finance Division.

Prior to that she was an associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe and Hawkins, Delafield & Wood where she specialized in municipal finance and securities law practice.
