Hostels
A good place to crash if you need a place to
live until you find more permanent lodgings.
They are also a good place to meet people if you
have come to the city alone. Hostels are
the cheapest alternative in accommodation (starting
at about $13 a night), but expect to get what
you pay for - a shared room (often four or more
in a dormitory), little privacy, and often, not
too clean shared bathrooms. Some are more
lax on curfew and alcohol rules than others, but
if you are a single woman, you might find the
more regulated hostels a little safer.
(Please do not rely on our prices - they are just
a rough guide, so check on their sites, or phone
ahead to clarify rates): |
Bed & Breakfasts
They provide comfortable and convenient accommodation.
They are often a little less expensive than the
better known hotels, so you may want to consider
forgoing the room service to save your budget.
Some
Bed and Breakfasts' names may imply that they
are hotels, but they are infact Bed & Breakfasts. |
