Well here we are now. Just about to enter June. Everyone who is on a J1 will be heading off from Thursday onwards. Here are just a few things you need to make sure you have before you go.

Start with the obvious, but often forgotten documentation
- passport with J1 visa
- tickets
- any forms that have been sent to you by your student travelco

- resumé, one copy on disk will suffice (see resume)
- old clothes if you plan to work in construction
- formal clothes in case of interview
- light clothes because its hot!
- sleeping bag (see accommadation)

- camera and film
- ID (whether you are 21 or not!)
- Travellers cheques (and a small supply of petty cash)
