Where There’s a Will - A Look at other Irish Probate Records
It is not my intention in this article to discuss Irish probate records
as a genealogical source. Many published sources contain this information,
including a chapter in Donal F. Begley’s Irish Genealogy, A Record Finder
(Dublin: Heraldic Artists, Ltd, 1981) and an excellent article written by
David E. Rencher entitled ‘Probate Records in the Prerogative Court of Armagh
in Ireland’ (Genealogical Journal 17: No. 3 & 4, 1988/1989; this is the
quarterly publication of the Utah Genealogical Association).
