Grattan's Parliament was largely successful because it exploited the
weaknesses of the British Government of the day, writes IrishAbroad's

Grattan's Parliament' is a term familiar to many young Irish students.
It refers to a 20-year period in the late 18th century when the Irish Parliament
was under the effective control of Henry Grattan.
