We know, we know. Just like us you’ve spent the past few months wondering why oh why no-one has ever thought of compiling a complete anthology of The Boo Radleys.

Well, Creation Records obviously cottoned on because here it is. Some 35 tracks charting the history of the band as well as b-sides and what are called rare gems.

And we can tell you why they’re rare — because no-one really wanted to hear them the first time. Having said that there are some nuggets here and the compilation does give you a good idea of the breadth of the Radleys output. From shouty punk to frankly bizarre sonic experiments, they tried it all.

Some works, some doesn’t. But give them credit for being brave.
