Simply Irresistible: Tips for Grooming the Groom
Have you ever considered
how many times you're going to be kissed, hugged, touched and looked at
on your wedding day? Well, if the answer is "no", then you may want to
start thinking about it.
Female guests will certainly watch you adoringly; male guests will pat
you across the back and shake your hand firmly; and those who know you
really well will want to get up close and personal.
As the object
of so much attention, looking your very best should be important. Maybe
this means developing a good grooming regime or updating an old one, whichever
it is, feel free to use the following dos and don'ts as a guide for looking
irresistible.
Get your hair trimmed but don't leave it to the last minute, as newly
cut hair requires at least one week to settle down before it starts
to look natural.
Schedule a dental appointment at least three weeks before the wedding
to ensure your teeth are pearly white and your breath fresh.
Dirty, chipped, chewed-to-the-stub nails are by no means the perfect
place for a band of gold - get a manicure.
Don't go for a radical new hairstyle just before the big day. Any
dramatic changes in your looks should be saved for when you get home
and settle in as husband and wife.
If dandruff is a problem, ask your stylist to recommend a shampoo
to improve your scalp and diminish flakes.
Skin, your
body's largest organ, is constantly changing. Protect it well by purchasing
a combination moisturiser/sun screen.
Don't shave
your sideburn too short or you'll end up making your face look round.
The general rule is that sideburns should reach the centre of the inner
ear.
Should your lack of hair be troubling you, don't be tempted to stretch
a few long bits across your bare patch.
Stand tall. Drooped shoulders and an arched back give you a "bad attitude
look", not exactly the image of the happy, handsome groom you're meant
to be on your wedding day.
