1. Pop the butter and
the chocolate into a bowl and place over a pan of simmering water for a
couple of minutes to melt.
2. Cream the egg and the sugar together in a bowl. To do so whisk them
together for about a minute.
3. Mix the eggs and the sugar into the melted chocolate mixture, makes
sure to stir as you mix as the eggs may cook when they come in contact
with the hot chocolate mixture.
4. Once the mixture is combined stir in the flour.
5. Grease two ramekins, fill them three quarters of the way with the
mixture as the will rise.
6. Pop them into the oven at 200 degrees, they will take 10-11 minutes
to cook.
7. Serve quickly so that they do not continue cooking after being
removed from the oven.
Chocolate fondants should still be runny in
the middle when served, the go really well with plain vanilla ice cream.
