Irish America's Wall Street 50 Awards

In the August/September issue, Irish America published its fifth annual Wall Street 50, a celebration and recognition of prominent Irish Americans from the leading financial institutions. Those chosen were profiled in the magazine and were honored at an awards reception on July 17 at the offices of Mutual of America in midtown Manhattan.

The keynote speaker was Thomas Quick, Vice Chairman of Quick and Reilly/Fleet Securities, Inc. Actor and comedian Denis Leary accepted a check from Irish America on behalf of Leary's Firefighters Foundation.

Tribute was paid to those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, in particular, two Wall Street 50 nominees in 2001, Joseph Berry, former Chairman and co-CEO of Keefe, Bruyette & Woods Inc ("KBW") and Joseph Lenihan, Executive Vice President and Director of Fixed Income of KBW and Chris Duffy, the son of nominee John Duffy, President and Co-Chief Executive Officer of KBW.
