Scheduled Transportation Services
If you are not sure which carrier to use to or from the Airport, locate
your
origin/destination on the map. Match the color-coded stop with
the colors on the timetables available at the airport or by mail from
the Airports
Commission. Find the location where your trip will
begin in the columns on the timetables. Then locate the column with
your
destination. Read across to determine the departure and arrival times
for each
trip shown. Some carrier schedules repeat at regular intervals throughout
a
portion of the day. These are indicated with a phrase such as "Then
every hour
at the same time until."
Reservations
While reservations are not required, it is suggested you check with
the carrier for
seat availability and current schedules.
The Cheapest Way San
Francisco's SamTrans buses, 7B and 7F go from the airport to the city.
The 7F is an express bus, only taking about a half hour into the city,
but will only allow a small handheld item on board. The 7B takes
about an hour, but will allow more luggage.
The
SFO Airporter is a bigger bus that only goes to downtown hotels,
and is also fairly time consuming (415-495-8404 / 800-532-8405).

on foot. Having a car in the city is not worth
the stresses of finding parking!)
