Getting
to and from the city
By Car
Proceed south on Granville Street to West 72nd Avenue. Follow the road left
onto SW Marine Drive and over the Arthur Laing Bridge. The bridge takes
you to Grant McConachie Way, which leads directly to the airport terminal.
By Taxi
In addition to providing you with a safe and reliable ride, Vancouver taxi

Airport Bus Service
A regular scheduled airport bus service operates between the airport and
downtown Vancouver.Information on their departure times and pickup locations
can be obtained from the Touristinfo staff at the airport, or found on the
YVR website.
TransLink (Public) Bus
Catch bus 98 B-line "Richmond Centre" at Burrard Station to the Airport
Station, then transfer to bus 424 "Airport". This bus will take you to the
airport. Check schedules for times, call TransLink at 604-953-3333 or visit
their website at www.translink.bc.ca. Approximate travel time is 60 minutes.
Car & RV
Highway 1, the Trans-Canada Highway, accesses Vancouver from points east.
If planning a driving tour, allow 12 hours from Calgary and five days from
Montreal. Vancouver is only three hours north of Seattle. Take the Interstate
5, which becomes Highway 99 at the United States-Canada border.
By Greyhound Bus
Greyhound Lines serves Vancouver from numerous cities in the United States

By Water
BC Ferries provides regularly scheduled passenger and vehicle service between
Vancouver, Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and other parts of coastal

By Train
Pacific Central Station is the terminus for transcontinental passenger rail
and bus service, located at Main and Terminal Streets in downtown Vancouver.
VIA Rail has transcontinental services from Toronto via Jasper arriving
at Vancouver's Pacific Central Station three times a week. Contact your
travel agent for reservations or call 1800-561-8630.
Amtrak Cascades (1.800.872.7245) offers one round-trip per day between Seattle
and Vancouver that depart Vancouver each evening.
