AUSTRALIAN TOUR BY THE SAW DOCTORS IN MARCH
Top Irish Band, The Saw Doctors will travel down under in March, for their first
tour of Australia
in seventeen years, starting at the Fly by Night Club in Perth on Thursday March
4, and finishing
up in Byron Bay at the Bangalow Bowling Club on Saturday March 20.
One of the highlights of the bands Australian tour will be their Sydney show at
The Metro on
St. Patrick's Day, Wednesday March 17.
Australian Promoter, Adrian Bohm, is presenting The Saw Doctors at four
Australian cities,
including a Melbourne concert at The Corner Hotel on Thursday March 11, a
Brisbane show
at the Hi Fi Club on Friday March 19, as well as the opening concert in Perth at
the Fly by Night
Club on Thursday March 4 and the Paddy's Day show in Sydney at the Metro on
Wednesday
March 17.
On Sunday March 14, The Saw Doctors will play Canberra at the Top of the Cross
Auditorium,
Southern Cross Club in Wodan, Canberra.
One of the reasons for the March Tour by The Saw Doctors is to take up an
invitation to play at
Port Fairy Festival in Victoria. The Saw Doctors will play three shows at the
Festival, one concert
on Saturday March 6 and two concerts on Sunday March 7.
During their three week tour of Australia, The Saw Doctors will visit Tasmania
on Tuesday March 9,
for a concert in Hobart at the Republic Bar.
The Saw Doctors have just gone Platinum in Ireland with their new compilation CD
To Win Just Once
..The Best of The Saw Doctors, which Universal Music Ireland released before
Christmas.
The "Best of The Saw Doctors" CD features the bands four Irish Number Ones,
including the biggest
selling Irish single ever, I Useta Lover, N17, Hay Wrap, and last year's
surprise No. 1 hit, a cover of
The Sugababes song, About You Now.
Universal Music Australia will release To Win Just Once..The Best of The Saw
Doctors across Australia
on February 26 to coincide with the upcoming tour of Australia by the Galway
band.
