Taking
the first step
by Linda Davis
It's hard to believe that it's been two weeks and I have
barely had time to log on. The mountains were a gift. Cool
in the evenings and comfortable in the daytime. The rushing
stream lulled me to sleep at night. I happened on an arts
and crafts festival in the town of Maggie Valley where they
had irresistible handcrafted bird houses, inventive hummingbird
feeders and too many other things to list.

From the Road
by CulaBula
Karen said that when they were in Prague they went to a
cafe in the main tourist square, old town square I think,
and they were fleeced for a couple of beers and a couple
of sandwiches... €60.00 which from what I remember of the
Czech Republic is extortion. She was also amazed by how
rude people were. I laughed at her for being such an eijit
because when we were there we got fleeced in the same place
for beer and were amazed at the rudeness* of people, she
only remembered grumpy Richard at a later stage.

FEATURED GROUPS
Set up a fun group
The group section at
http://groups.Irishabroad.com
is a great place for setting up a fan group, a fun group or
neighbourhood group of your choice.
Wild Rovers
This diverse Boston-based group boasts a wide variety of music that
ranges from Popular, Country, Rock and Roll, to ethnic (specialty being
IRISH). They've been together since 1985 and have succeeded in establishing
a substantial following. Many clubs, pubs, cruises, as well as WEDDINGS,
Anniversaries, Retirement Parties, Birthdays and Festivals have enjoyed
the sound of The Wild Rovers.
The
Irish Descendants
Formed in 1990 by lead singer Con O'Brien, the band have received numerous
music awards and sold close to half a million albums. They tour throughout
North America and Europe.
Fergie & the Bog Dogs
One of Northeast Ohio's favorite Irish Pub Bands, Fergie & the Bog Dogs
delights in bringing the beauty of traditional Celtic music to a modern
audience. From the ancient jigs and reels - with melodies often recognizable
to fans of modern Country music - to hard-hitting rebel tunes, lilting
ballads and uproarious story songs, an evening with Fergie & the Bog
Dogs is a journey through the history of Ireland itself.

East Ireland - The Mysterious South East
Four counties and four great rivers make up the South East of Ireland.
The Barrow, Blackwater, Suir, Slaney and the Nore flow through a
countryside rich in antiquity. Some of the most famous castles in
Ireland are to be found here in arguably the most pleasant climate
in the country, which gives the region its nickname, the 'Sunny
South East'.
