The Day of Destruction
SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 was set to be a red-letter day for me. I was about
to cast my first ever vote in an American election. I had become an American
citizen some years before, but had never got around to voting mainly because
of sheer laziness. Finally I was going to do it.
