Demise of the SDLP?

OF all the story lines out of the Northern Assembly elections last week, none is more poignant than the virtual eclipse of the SDLP by Sinn Fein on the Nationalist side.

The SDLP limped in a distant second to Sinn Fein for the Nationalist vote and seemingly have begun an inexorable slide that may well threaten the very future of the party.
