Election Night in Dublin
It is impossible to describe the doom and gloom that settled over this country when the news came though that President George W. Bush had been re-elected handsomely.
It was a feeling that took hold in Britain also as evidenced by the now notorious headline from the Daily Mirror, which asked how could 59 million people be so dumb as to vote Bush back into office.
