Brothers in Arms
The Showtime network has responded to the huge success of The Sopranos
with The Brotherhood, an Irish gangster series set in New England and
featuring two brothers -– one a politician, the other a crime leader
-– fighting to survive while overseeing the expansion of their family’s
power. It opened to strong reviews on Sunday and, with a little work,
it could become compulsive viewing. SEAN O’DRISCOLL assesses one
