Tiger Woods’ wife Elin Nordegren sure knows how to roar in her own right.

Elin, who recently initiated legal proceedings against an Irish magazine which printed fake nude pictures of her on the eve of the Ryder Cup in Co. Kildare in September, refused a settlement that the publication tried to make to ward off a lawsuit.

According to a report in The Sunday Business Post, the owners of The Dubliner magazine, which printed the offending photos and an equally stupid story called “Ryder Filth for Dublin,” under the guise of satire, tried to appease Mrs. Woods with a cash donation said to be in the high five figures to the charity of her choice. But the Swedish blond told them to take a hike.

The Post says that Elin is out for revenge, and wants compensation for an amount at more than what the magazine is worth. If she wins, it could be curtains for The Dubliner.

The fees are already starting to mount, of course. Elin, whose husband was furious with a capital F when the photos/story came out, has retained two firms, one in D.C. and one in Dublin, while the magazine is forking out to a Dublin group of legal eagles.
