Celebrity has its advantages for Christina Aguilera. During her trip
to Dublin last week, where she stayed in the Morrison Hotel with hubby
Jordan Bratman, she so loved the red Christmas tree in her penthouse suite
that the manager gave it to her to take away as a memento for her first
wedding anniversary, which she celebrated in the Irish capital between
concerts . . .
Colin Farrell has a message for Russell Crowe bashers – leave
him alone! In Colin’s uniquely elegant way, he says that Crowe is
such a superb actor that it doesn’t matter what role he takes on.
“I really enjoyed watching Gladiator. But I really think that Russell
Crowe could get up, pull his pants down, take a s**t, and you would still
be completely blown away by it,” reckons Colin. Speak for yourself,
please! . . .
Tiger Woods’ wife, Elin, has initiated legal proceedings against
The Dubliner magazine, which published bogus nude photos of her on the
eve of the Ryder Cup at the K Club in Co. Kildare in September. The magazine
gave the lame excuse of the photos being part of a satire on the wives
of the U.S. team, but Tiger reacted with fury and the magazine’s
editor apologized. Elin has retained a law firm in Dublin to act on her
behalf . . .
Good medical news to report on Michael Flatley. The dance superstar
is mending nicely from the viral bug that consumed his body last month,
and will spend some time at his retreat in Barbados with pregnant wife
Niamh. The newlyweds will return to their castle in Castlehyde, Co. Cork
for the holidays, though. Michael is hoping to reschedule all the European
dates for his show Celtic Tiger that had to be canceled due to his illness,
but his doctors will have final say before any plans are revealed.
