singers Sinead O’Connor and Mary Coughlan are staging their own
nearly middle-aged version of Girls Gone Wild, as the songbirds are duking
it out over the same guy, a white haired dude (stud?) named Frank Bonadio.
Bonadio and blues singer Coughlan met 14 years ago, married in 2002 and
are now estranged, and it seems Sinead has stepped in to create a messy
threesome. The girls - Sinead is 38, Coughlan 49 — are said to be
zapping each other with nasty text messages; Sinead reportedly threatened
that she’ll bust Coughlan’s face if she doesn’t mind
herself. And as we all know, when Sinead gets into one of her cuckoo phases
she’s capable of anything.
In a letter posted on her website, Sinead says the following: “Be
aware Mary, that I am not the one here who has anything to lose. I have
already dealt with 24 years of negative publicity and I have no fear of
it. Nor any care for what anyone thinks of me.”
Sinead says that Coughlan has been waging a media campaign against her.
Coughlan, meanwhile, has an attorney involved in taking some sort of action,
and both gals have called the cops on each other. Sweet.
Sinead and Bonadio, an American, reportedly started dating in February.
The couple was pictured together in Sunday’s New York Post on a
shopping trip in Manhattan.
Meanwhile, back at home, we wonder how the kids involved like reading
all this tabloid fodder? Sinead has a boy and a girl, and the Coughlan/Bonadio
pairing produced two offspring. Time to grow up, ladies.
