SINEAD O’Connor celebrated her 40th birthday on December 8 by giving birth to her third son, Yeshua Francis Neil Bonadio, 11 days later at Mount Carmel Hospital in Dublin.

The child had a rough entry into the world, though. He was diagnosed with pneumonia and had to spend time in the hospital’s ICU, but thankfully he seems to be resilient just like his mother and was released from the hospital a few days later.

The child’s father is American Frank Bonadio, 49, Sinead’s former boyfriend. Reports say they ended their relationship three months ago, but they are still on good terms and Frank, previously married to Irish singer Mary Coughlan, was on hand to lend support during and after the birth.

Yeshua joins big brother Jake Reynolds, 18, from Sinead’s first marriage to John Reynolds, sister Roisin, 10, whose dad is Irish Times columnist John Waters, and Shane, 4, child of Sinead and musician Donal Lunny.
