Where Color Didn’t Matter
This week, the Tribeca Film Festival debuts the last film by legendary African American actor Ossie Davis. Also starring Irish actor Stephen Rea and funded by designer Tommy Hilfiger, it tells the true story of the only all-black crew of a U.S. Navy ship during World War II and their adventures in Northern Ireland, where they were treated as equals for the first time.
