THE cover of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) match program promised the dawn of a new era as the Republic of Ireland took to the field for the first time since the Euro 4-2 debacle in Switzerland. Instead we were treated to the yawn of a new era at Lansdowne Road on Tuesday night, despite the scoreline.
