Having failed to snare Madonna, MCD have lined up Billy Joel for the third of their Croke Park summer spectaculars.

This will be the New Yorker’s first major concert tour in almost in eight years and is set for Dublin on July 29.

To coincide with the tour Joel is releasing a lavish five-disc box-set My Lives which spans over 35 years of hits.

The last time Joel played Dublin was in the late ’90s while touring with Elton John.
