Daughter’s big day brings joy for Keith Ex-Coronation
Street star and former Boyzone singer Keith Duffy has spoken out at the
joy he felt when his young autistic daughter walked through the gates
of her local mainstream primary school earlier this month.
Mia Duffy was 18-months-old when she was diagnosed as suffering from the
disorder but now aged seven Mia has started a new chapter in her life.
Dad Keith, who has been a real champion for autism since his daughter’s
diagnosis, revealed Mia’s story to highlight what can be achieved
when autistic children get appropriate help.
Duffy hopes to raise public and political awareness about autism, which
can be greatly improved if early intervention and one-to-one care is available
families coping with the condition. |
