Pádraic Delaney, who stars opposite Cillian Murphy in The Wind
That Shakes The Barley, has been chosen as the Irish Shooting Star for
2007 for next month’s Berlin Film Festival.
The Shooting Star programme recognises the talents of up-and-coming young
actors from 21 European countries at the Berlin event every year.
Each actor chosen meets the press and casting directors and receives an
award recognising their achievements to date.
A graduate of the Samuel Beckett Centre in Trinity College Dublin, Delaney
has starred in the RTÉ Television dramas Legend and Pure Mule and
recently completed work on the series The Tudors.
The Berlin Film Festival runs from February 8-18.
