Entries flood in as race to be Coventry Rose hots up

INTEREST is hotting up for the 2008 Coventry Rose Of Tralee selection.

Girls are already putting their names forward just two weeks after the event was announced.

And with the chance the winner could find themselves heading to the famous festival in Co. Kerry to compete for the title of International Rose Of Tralee it’s not surprising.

However organisers are keen to recruit even more contestants for the big night to make it an occasion to remember.

The Coventry selection evening will take place on April 26 in the city’s Christ The King Parish Centre.

Organisers Annemarie Keane and Karen Muldowney are promising a night to remember as the judges gather to select the 2008 Coventry Rose Of Tralee.

The event starts at 8pm with music and entertainment on the night while the evening will be compered by Bernard Keane — vice-president of the Provincial GAA.

So if you fancy the chance of being named Coventry Rose Of Tralee for 2008 and going forward to the grand British final later in the year now’s the time to apply.

Anyone interested in taking part in the Coventry heats should contact Karen or Annemarie on 0121 603 2365.
