Directing legend John Boorman, whose film credits include Excalibur and Deliverance, is currently in Ardmore where work is continuing on his latest movie Tiger’s Tail.

Starring Irish actor Brendan Gleeson, pictured left, and Kim Cattrall the film is shooting on locations in Dublin and Wicklow.

Written by Boorman himself Tiger’s Tail is a cautionary tale of modern Ireland: The tiger in the title refers to the Celtic Tiger economy.

Meanwhile Cork’s Golden Globe winning actor Jonathan Rhys-Meyers has also signed up to play a young King Henry VIII in a new TV drama series being shot in Ireland called The Tudors.
