Four through to Rose final

THEY’RE picture perfect.

Meet MaryAnne Geraghty, Hannah O’Neill, Maureen Furey and Grace Kelly four thrilled new Roses.

The four were selected over the weekend to represent Leicester, Milton Keynes, Manchester and Liverpool at the British Rose Of Tralee final next month.

Maureen wowed the judges at the Manchester heat in the city’s Irish World Heritage Centre before her thrilled friends and relatives.

The 25-year-old waitress who hails from a Traveller family admitted she was stunned to be chosen.

“I couldn’t believe it,” she said. “I went in for the craic and never expected I’d win. But I’m delighted.”

In Leicester the Rose crown went to MaryAnne Geraghty who will represent the city at the British final in Birmingham.

And in Liverpool a packed crowd at the St. Michael’s Irish Centre saw 23-year-old schoolteacher Grace Kelly from Co. Down take the city’s Rose title.

Over In Milton Keynes former Boyzone star Shane Lynch was among the judges for the big night.

In the end that coveted title went to Hannah O’Neill with the sash and crown being handed over by last year’s winner Anna Brogan.
