Guinness all round as Irish Embassy goes by the book
This
week members of one of Ireland’s most famous families gathered together
at the Irish Embassy for the launch of a new book.
Financier Patrick Guinness unveiled his book Arthur’s Round at Grosvenor
Square last Thursday, where he was joined by his daughter, Irish model
Jasmine Guinness and her husband Gawain O’Dare Rainey.
The book, which came about after a request to the genetics department
at Trinity College Dublin to investigate the origins of Patrick’s
family, is a biography of his ancestor and creator of Ireland’s
greatest export.
Published by Peter Owen, the work is the culmination of seven years’
research and re-writes the story of Arthur Guinness’ life and work.
Arthur’s Round, priced at £13.95, is available now, ISBN:
