Let me entertain you — for free!

Pop heart-throb Robbie Williams intends to honour his promise to perform a free concert in Ireland after admitting his June show was not his best.

However, he confesses that, contrary to his pledge at the end of his Croke Park concert in June, he won’t be back this year and no date for the future gig has yet been finalised.

Although he delighted screaming fans with a string of his hits including Angels, Let Me Entertain You and Radio, Robbie admits he wasn’t happy with his Croke Park show during which a stunt went wrong in front of 80,000 fans.

He said: “I promised the Irish a free gig and I will do that. It won’t happen this year but I will go back and do a free gig.

“I feel as though I owe it to Ireland because the fans there have been so supportive.”

Meanwhile, Williams, Westlife and Elton John are reportedly set to coach the finalists in the current series of ITV’s hit show The X-Factor.

According to newspaper reports, the famous singers will join judges Sharon Osbourne, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh in coaching the eventual finalists in the reality show.

The paper reported that Williams will assist with the 16-25 year-olds, Westlife will advise the groups and John will coach the over-25s.

A source said: “Simon said he wanted this series to be the biggest and best yet. This is a massive coup.”
