Irish band the Magic Numbers are set to begin recording their second album next month.

The Mercury Music Prize nominees — who are set to support Morrissey in Dublin this August — will record the album at New York’s Allaire Studios which has also been used by Ryan Adams, My Morning Jacket and Secret Machines.

The band has plans to release the album in October.
