Minstrels head for Glasgow

BUDDING Irish minstrels will be heading for Scotland this weekend.

For the annual Irish Minstrels Winter School at St. Roch’s in Glasgow has music workshops from January 27-29.

Workshops tutors include Colin McGill (piano accordion), Seanna Agnew (flute), Damien McGeechan (fiddle), Gavin Pennycook (fiddle), Theresa Kavanagh (fiddle) and Brona Graham (banjo).

The popular Winter Concert is on January 28 at the Couper Institute and expect some surprise guests.

Following a successful exchange earlier in the year Cambridge CCE will again join the Minstrels for the Winter School weekend.
