It doesn’t look like the controversy surrounding the casting of Daniel Craig as James Bond is going to go away any time soon.

And in the midst of it, former 007 agent Pierce Brosnan has said something very interesting indeed about the rumours his 22-year-old son Sean might play the British spy some day.

Sean — who has only recently got involved in the movie business — said he’d “jump at the chance to play James Bond”.

But his father didn’t sound to hopeful. The Navan man said of the possibility: “It’s hardly likely that I’ll go and watch him!”

Perhaps it’s not such a possibility after all then.
