THE NINTH Annual Gathering Festival descends upon The Gleneagle Hotel and The INEC in Killarney from February 20-24 for a celebration of the rich culture and diversity of traditional Irish music.

Concerts, céilí, classes and walks are all planned as part of the activities.

The jam-packed programme of events includes concerts at The Gleneagle Hotel’s famous ballroom with prices starting from ?20.

Internationally renowned musicians, including Liam O’Flynn and Chieftains fiddler Sean Keane feature throughout the programme alongside award-winning bands such as Lúnasa and a multitude of additional acclaimed Irish talent.

The Gathering céilí are all held at the INEC, tickets cost ?10.

In previous years, the céilí have proven to be some of the main attractions with all welcome to join in the fun.

The award-winning 10-piece Allow Céilí Band return after their fantastic performance last year.

Kicking-off with the new millennium in 2000, The Gathering is now in its ninth year and continues to grow and develop, attracting visitors not only from Ireland but also from America, Britain and continental Europe.
