Traditional music masterclasses

MASTERCLASSES in traditional music, song, dance and storytelling are being held at Scoil na Mainistreach in Celbridge from 11am to 4.30pm on Saturday, March 31.

Tutors include John Regan on button accordion; Noel Hill and Séamus O’Mongain concertina; Bríd Harper, Kathleen Nesbitt and Liam O’Connor for fiddle; Sarah Jane Woods and Louise Mulcahy for flute; Carmel Gunning and Meabh Ni Lochlainn on tin whistle; Mick O’Brien uilleann pipes; Marcus Moliney banjo; Michelle Mulcahy on harp; Brian McGrath for accompaniment

piano; Junior Davey on bodhrán; Tadhg Maher for singing; Eddie Lenihan storytelling and Maureen Culleton for two-hand dances.

A traditional concert in Glenroyal Hotel will follow the workshop.
