Conrad cooks up a new life in Africa
Celebrity big mouth chef
Conrad Gallagher has packed his bags for a new life in South Africa.
The Michelin-starred chef — who was found not guilty of stealing
paintings from a major Dublin hotel — has revealed how he is revelling
in his newfound anonymity as he works at some of the top hotels in his
new home of Cape Town.
The celebrity cook moved to the country after being accused of stealing
three paintings from the Fitzwilliam Hotel where he ran one of Ireland’s
top restaurants.
Although he was found not guilty the talented cook decided he had had
enough and packed his bags to start a new life over there.
He is now married to a local woman and works as the Group Executive Chef
and Restaurant Consultant for the Sun International Resorts Group and
on a freelance basis for some of the top hotels in the area.
Industry sources know about his past but they are so impressed with his
work that it doesn’t bother them. |
