Geldof joins Avenue of Stars

Bob Geldof is one of 100 celebrities honoured in Britain’s equivalent to Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, which was unveiled last week.

The former Boomtown Rats singer will have a star devoted to him on the pavement leading up to the Actors’ Church in London’s Covent Garden.

Other celebrities honoured along the Avenue of Stars range from dead icons such as Charlie Chaplin and Alfred Hitchcock to very much living legends such as Ant and Dec and Nicole Kidman.

Selected on the back of their impact in the world of entertainment over the last 50 years, the avenue is expected to be a huge attraction.
