| On the Road Again
For Irish singer songwriter Gemma Hayes her return to this side of the
Atlantic to promote her new album The Roads Don’t Love You is a welcome
break from Los Angeles where she has been based for the last two years.
“I’m seriously debating returning to LA since I’ve come back to Britain,’
she muses whilst looking out the window. “I really miss the wholeness and
earthyness of England and Ireland. And I miss the people as well.”
But then there’s no rush for her to decide — Hayes has plenty of time.
At only 26 years of age the singer’s first album Night On My Side was nominated
for the Mercury Music Prize in 2002 receiving critical acclaim right across
the board.
