Devil to pay for Morrison

VAN Morrison will release his new album Pay The Devil in March.

Trade magazine Billboard reports the 15-track album — Morrison’s first for new label Lost Highway — will be released on March 7.

It says the collection is country music dominated and looks to be one of Morrison’s best works in recent years.

The album features the original Morrison songs Pay The Devil, Playhouse and This Has Got to Stop as well as covers of Your Cheatin’ Heart, Things Have Gone To Pieces and ‘Til I Gain Control among others.

Morrison released his last album Magic Time last May.
