Charlie Kilmaine from Dublin: Napoleon’s favourite general
When General Jean Landrieux was asked who he felt was Napoleon Bonaparte’s favourite general among the many famous officers such as Murat, Ney, Soult, MacDonald, Bernadotte, Milhaud, he had no hesitation. He said that General Kilmaine was “the only officer in whom Napoleon ever placed complete confidence.”
